So who still uses emulators?
Since building my MAC I wanted to play games on it but the Quadro I use for stability is not up to modern gaming. It does run Duke Nukem OKish at full pelt, and loves Borderlands 2, but I wanted to play more games.
So, I started using SixtyForce which is an N64 emulator for MAC. Didn't take me long to pretty much find a full set of N64 roms, with only a few old faves that don't work properly (Mario Golf and Cruis'n USA).
Mario, Banjo and Conkers all work fine though, so I will find plenty of entertainment there (not completed Mario 64 since 2004 !).
So any one else using emus still? I bought this from Ebay for £8.

And to my surprise it worked first time, all buttons correct, with no fiddling at all ! Will really add to the experience...
N64 was my favourite console launch ever. I got mine from a mate who flew to Japan. We sent him off with two suitcases, and paid the air fare plus the cost of the console so IIRC I paid about £265 for mine. I then needed to buy a RGB converter cable to get colour, and it cost me nearly £60..
But most of all I remember travelling to Waterloo station to meet up with the guy I used to buy my import games from. After the N64 companies decided to release consoles worldwide at the same time so the import market pretty much died on its ass. Shame really !
