Some nice hardware there Pulse88 ;) real nice

Don't skimp on the knead able eraser. It's cheap compared to a mobo

I will do my method guide tomorrow if my supplier confirms they had got new set of ln2. Already test mounting kingpin fat on the card since I would like to use the whole bracket with it that cools memories and vrm without sawing it.
I prefer vaseline over eraser as it is fast to apply and covers all surfaces nicely.

@Meankeys

Boards are sprayed with plasti dipp 4 layers front, 2 back. Not really afraid for them. Plasti dipp is like LED(water prof layer). About art eraiser its alot on front, back but crappy picture not shows that. ;)

@Luumi

Nice work on that card. I can soon se some Hwbot dmg. Do you use plasti dipp spray or is it LED on that classified to prevent moisture dmg to the pcb.
I gonna use Plasti dipp for my cards ( have worked well for the 4 290x i have on frezzing water).

Btw really nice you take yourself time and do a insulating guide here for subzero gfx cards. ;)

Next move you do Join team MLG right after subzero guide?

I should since team finland is pretty much dead and no live events anymore really in Finland. I will do somekind of subzero guide for whole combo. I will use cpu + ram + card on ln2 and share my views on how to prepare it. I use vaseline, armaflex O class insulation mat bought from pipelagging.co.uk, very good shop and of course heavy duty scott shop towels. I use a bit of eraser on some bits sometimes but rarely.

I dont know what its called in Us. but you most likly find LET( sorry was wrong written in my post)
LET(liquid electricity tape)
http://www.walmart.com/search/?query=liquid%20electricity%20TAPE
Plastidip spray
http://www.walmart.com/search/?query=plasti%20dip%20spray%20paint&typeahead=plasti%20d

In sweden you find the stuffs in car part shops like
http://www.mekonomen.se/?gclid=COSA5I39gMMCFcHOcgodemwAPw

I hope this helped i prefer the Plastidip spray easy to use, no prob to make many layers, easy removal.
With transparent one no big traces.

Vaseline is very good to as many uses it.
Luumi might do a insulation guide soon ;)

I use vaseline only in pci-e socket for my cards.

I hope this helped meankeys ;)

Vaseline is as good really for preventing moisture from shorting components and it can be taken off if you wish.

Hi Luumi

I thought I posted Yo in my last post to Pulse88

As far as Vaseline goes. Do you apply it with a brush then hair dryer to melt it off? Is it Messy?

Paint brush and hot air gun on low setting. Get the stuff molten and let it flow under and fully against the components.

For the UK guys this stuff is a must if you go sub-zero has a thousand uses. Normally quite expensive like £14 for a 15m role

Must agree to the fully with Hivizman. Armaflex tape is wonderful to work with when insulate.
3mm tape no prob to keep -10water from icing blocks 24/7. thing is cards dosn't feel cold at all when you take on tape on the cards(water block is -10)

Btw i have 4 rolls of armaflex tape in storage for later use, you cant have to little of it ;)

Looks nice and a well thought out prepping for the hardware.

I use the stuff called Plastalina for my insulating since it's cheap, water repellant and is reuseable - Water doesn't affect it at all since it's oil based. Kinda sticky too so wherever I use it, stays in place and readily bonds to itself for making watertight seals for example.

Once done I just carefully peel it off, wad it up into a ball and store it in a tupperware container until it's needed again. Have to keep it in a sealed container because it will have pet hair and the like sticking to it if I don't.
As long as I don't go "Speedy Gonzales" while removing it, it's not a problem to peel off and worry about hurting anything - So far so good in every instance I've used it.

Speaking of reuseable, I'm still using the same two bricks of it I got over three years ago. Two bricks of it easily does a complete setup with some extra, enough I believe for doing GPUs too. The extra bricks I got later are still sealed since I've yet to need them. A brick of this stuff the last time I bought some from Hobby Lobby was $3.99 U.S. per brick.

Only con I've noted so far is the stuff tends to stick well enough that you'll have some left on the board if you peel it off in hard to reach places but it doesn't seem to affect things. My retired from benching CHV I'm now using as a daily driver still has some in places and doesn't run hot inside of a case at all, temps are right on target after being used this way for well over a year now.

Bench table is in da house !!!

Image

impressive build quality of bench table. Very strong to no prob to carry weight.

Image

Gonna use some very strong fans Gentle typhoons( 5400rpm / 150cfm high static pressure fans) to cool motherboard, mems, gfx components.
So now i dont gonna hear fiance when she order me from man cave

Ok have not updated for while!!
Reason is that i have been shopping some on internet and got a few new test subjects(gfx cards).
Not all are here on the table.

Image
Tomorrow its time to insulate them for subzero water.

Cards that requires subzero prepare are:

2 7970
2 680 lightning
2 580 lightning
2 570 power edition (msi)
2 5870 with waterblock
1 8800gts
2 8800gtx
1 8800 ultra
1 4890
1 4870 waterblock
1 280gtx
2 560
1 285gtx
2 5850
1 7950
1 9800gtx
1 560ti dcu2

And still have a x48 socket 775 board to insulate for my 15 different core2 cpus. Board seems hard to insulate...subzero water for chipset, vrm and SS for cpus
After that some benching!!!

 Drool
We have the same bench table!! And those GT5400's are beasts, they shift some serious air.
I think you need an assistant Pulse to do your prepping then you may actually get some benching done!! :D looking very nice though fella.
