I was about to post this, you beat me to it :P Brilliant idea for those looking to reach the limits. You pay a bit more but you get what you paid for guaranteed.

I paid around £320 for a binned and delidded 4770k, worth every penny.

If this had been available when DC appeared id have happily shelled out for a 4.9 capable 4790k. The one i have isnt too bad so ill just stick with it. 4.7 on 1.300v, could maybe go lower on the voltage but ive been too lazy to try.

Rumour has it that they are soldered, but we will have to wait and see on that one.

On another note, that's a great price for a 4.8GHz chip. $330 for a guaranteed 4.8GHz 4790K? That's great!

Think those guys who are going to be comming to the meet are in for a treat. 3 of the 5690X processors that are available will pass XTU at 4.4 GHz with 1.173volts. :mrgreen: :lol:
