just got my pc YAY but it has a 7 year old gpu in it,,,would any of these 3 be an upgrade on my dated geforce 9800gt? and which would be best? im running a crossblade ranger motherboard with a8 5600k cpu,,,heres the 3 gpu ive come across local

Out of the three I would have the 7850. But i wouldn't pay £100 for it...see if you could get it for £70-£80

Agreed with Overfiend. The 7850 is getting on in age now and £100 is too much. That is the best of the 3 as well.

thanks guys,,ive just bought a cheap old Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Toxic 1Gb for now which is getting me by,,it was only £25 so couldnt resist just for it having hdmi,,ive decided im going to wait,,save and buy a more modern mid range card in the future when i have the cash :) at least the card i bought today has hdmi out so playing in better resolution than my last card,,textures are better as well,,im going to upgrade my ram next then i will be posting again for recommendations on a nice mid range modern card lol :)

Yeah save up and wait, there will be AMD Polaris and nVidia Pascal GPU's released later this year :)

will have a read on them in mo,,,think im going to stick with amd/ati based cards,,only thing i dont like about them from my short experience is the drivers you download/update sometimes are rubbish and mess certain things up,,for instance i cant get sound out my hdmi although i get picture? lol after a little search it seems to be something to do with the drivers,,,i dont mind using headphones or speakers though :)

im LOVING my pc journey so far :) even with my low end setup grid autosport looks very nice :) and i get on average 47fps with everything maxed out on it :)
