New RAM?

Post #1 by richardjparsons » Tue May 09, 2017 12:23 am

Currently got 4 x 4 Gb Hyperx Blu sticks (DDR3) in, is it worth the upgrade to 32Gb? Or wait till I get a new motherboard and invest in some DDR4?

Intel i5 @ 3.4 Ghz with Noctua Cooler, 4 x 4 Gb Hyperx Blu, Asus 4 Gb GTX 970, Asus Z87-A Mobo, 3 x 465 Gb SSD, Windows 10 64-Bit, Corsair RM750, Thermaltake Suppressor F31

If you are thinking about upgrading,I would just wait.

Newly motherboard would be compatible with RAM for proper functioning. So check and upgrade it.

32GB+ for servers

As for DDR3 -v- DDR4 - no notable gains so i would save your money.
