I watched Black Sea and didn't go a lot on it and found the acting to be a bit bland with no real feel for any of the characters but horses for courses on that :)

Also watched The imitation game and excellent acting and some very strong performances. 10/10 and a must watch.

I gave The Maze Runner a try, without any knowledge of it apart from a throwaway recommendation from a friend who recommends some right shite at times, so was completely open-minded.

Really enjoyed it, quite a lot actually. You could easily pick holes in it, like the reaction of the current residents when the main guy first arrives seemed well off, and the rampant mystery that doesn't really get explained, or if something does it just opens more questions. Obvious negativity aside there was a couple of stand out actors who carried some of the poorer young actors (the lad from Nanny McPhee was particularly good and convincing I though, as was Chuck).

Not for the little kiddies this film, and won't set the world alight (hence me not even hearing about it and it's available on Bluray/DVD), but well worth a watch and great fun if you don't expect too much.

The storyline is so "out there", it's surprising to see it being done by Hollywood, usually only anime is this brave. More like this please :)

I watched Cut Bank last night and surprised at how good it was. Good story line although a bit obvious but a very good film none the less - 8/10

Ditto, superbly paced, utterly engrossing, had the entire family glued, which is extremely rare.

The Babadook....2/10

Utter rubbish! Was cheering for the Babadook to slice and dice the protagonists from about 30 seconds in..irritating kid and his useless feckless mother...

Haha, agreed Arne and what a poor film The Badadook was. :D

Watched Jupiter Ascending and had high hopes for this but felt a little let down. Good acting, even if the guy from Les Miserables appeared to try a bit too hard but still a visual feast and some very good effects. 7/10 for this still.

I didn't mind Jupiter tbh, when my mate went to see he reckoned it was dire. Easy way to waste a few hours.

I watched Cinderella and enjoyed it :D
Also watched Spare Parts, which was very good. A group of youngsters enter a robotics competition with bigger all budget and personal problems and based on a true story. Worth a watch.

Jurassic World...
Being a big fan of the first movie, this movie had a lot to live upto..Jurassic park 2-3 we will just forget about..Watched the movie in imax, which did't do nothing for me,could of just as well watched it in 2d..
The film it self was a none stop action dino feast. It is a good sequel to the first film,it had some stupid moments here and there. My kids and wife really enjoyed it, well worth a watch at the cinema if you have nothing else to do.
A good 7/10..

LUCY 6/10

Quiet liked the concept but thought the actual acting was weak and the pseudo-science nonsense was just tragic. Worth a watch but not if there is something better on.

Batman vs Superman
After reading lots of reviews and the film getting very negative reviews from the critics. I went into the film not expecting that much. BvS has that man of steal vibe about it which is not a bad thing. The overall film is a build up for justice league, with in total of 10 minutes of actual fighting from Batman and Superman fighting each other. The overall film is building up tension between the two hero's before they finally square off. I just wished they had more fight scene between the pair, and not bothered about Doomsday at the end. Gal as Wonder woman looks great, and yes I would ;)
The film is not crap but it's not great, hopefully with the extra 30 mins to come out on the dvd release it will show more fighting from the heroes. I took my 10 year old daughter with me thinking she not going to like this, but at the end of the film she goes to me i really liked that dad considering she had to sit through 2hr30 Kids sometimes are the best critics.
Overall BvS is a above average film with Batman steeling the show. It's definitely worth a watch if you like these kind of films 7/10

Jungle book 2016.
Disney live action film take on their 1967 animated classic. Jungle book Was an enjoy able watch with a different ending to the 1967 version. Younger children might find some scenes a little scary as it is quite dark in places. 8/10
