The Interview - 2/10

I knew it would be bad, christ on a bike. So bad.
Well done Sony for fake hacking themselves to big up the film. Shame you're stupid enough to release online but only to 'Murica.

Would have gladly paid to watch this S*** due to the hype train.

I'm not watching that it's got hype written all over it.

Sony are good at that.

Last night we watched Noah, with Russell Crowe and pals. Not bad. Really, totally not my sort of film but the new sound system made up for that with some lovely rumbling and theatricals.

7/10 (but if you like that sort of thing then higher I would assume)

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

A predictable ending to the trilogy which is nothing more than battle-fest the guys in "Game workshop" having orgasm over. The film leans very much towards a tie in with Lord of the Rings and there are some loose ends I thought. Still, the effects are marvelous and some great battle scenes but for me it was more of the same. Thanks god for the gorgeous Evangeline Lilly, even with her long ears.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
Absolute fight fest, none stop action with some lovely cgi effects. But with Peter Jackson to much cgi spoils some really good fight scenes. Example Legolas jumping from high buildings and landing on trolls. Then he would fling off too the next victim felt really forced, and fake looking.
This film is a must to be watched at the cinema
overall a good end to the hobbit trilogy

Rubbish, I gave Blade Runner 11/10, that's already one better
But yeah, Goonies is up there with the all time greats, so much fun and at our age, hugely nostalgic too :)

Apparently there is something in the works. But, it does contain all of the original actors. So tbh? it could actually work out..

Must say I agree though, it's actually rather scary...

Any way, last night I watched Channel 4's Cyber Bully. I thought it was a bit unrealistic and crap if I'm honest but there were a few tense moments, if completely unbelievable.

I know it's not technically a film but hey, it was on for an hour and a half so it sort of is.

6/10.

I loved it so much that when I was 11/12 I used to get all my school gear on, leave for school then just go around the back and hide in the shed until my mum had gone to work.

Then it was Goonies day in my PJs lol. I must have watched it a hundred times or more :D

Debbie does dallas, still after all these years 10/10 especially in surround sound. Full discrete 7.1 soundtrack for the ooh's and ah's. :D Seriously though "Downfall" 10/10 and could not fault it. :)

The Theory of Everything

Eddie Redmayne, Felicity Jones.. directed by James Marsh

Superb story, superb acting, and superb examples of human selflessness and determination.

Redmayne rightly deserves an Oscar for his performance of Steven Hawkins..

9/10 - superb

Not quite a fan of Matthew McConaughey and the film took some time to get into but a very enjoyable experience. Jessica Chastain is well fit though.

Big spoiler this so don't click if you've not seen it...

8.5./ 10

Watched this last night and loved it. Really good to see such high-brow scifi being produced still, and shows it can be done well enough to be commercially successful.
Great story, which really ties itself up brilliantly. Highly recommended 9/10

Akira - Seen it countless times and still love this Anime 10/10

Everly - Played like a comedy Tarantino film and enjoyably 7/10

John Wick - Fantastic action and someone said earlier "like a comic book" and spot on. Very cool film and very well done 10/10

Oh Brother where art thou - Classic film and not a single bad performance. Very silly but right up my street 10/10

I have watched a few these past nights :D
