Re: Mobo & CPU Upgrade

Although ive had the upgrade itch, im very much interested in pascal/polaris gpu's later this year ;) but an i5 to i7 might be worth it depending on what you use your pc for :) You've hit the nail on the head, I've upgraded my GPU recently, and put time into researching a new case which has only ma...

Mobo & CPU Upgrade

Looking to upgrade them both at some point, at seperate times if they are compatible with my current PC, just didn't know if it was worth the extra money changing sockets as I currently have an LGA1150 i5 @ 3.4gHz cooled by Noctua NH-D14.

Any thoughts?

Fair one, suppose even games get downloaded now days. Burning the occasional blu ray, couldn't imagine not having a drive on hand, but having the extra flow makes sense.

Re: DOOM 2016

Not impressed that it was just multiplayer in the closed beta that came with Wolfenstein, especially being crap when it comes to FPS games.

Still looking forward to the single player when it comes out though, after seeing the trailers etc.

Skyline R34 was always the dream, then the GTR came along, got obsessed with that, to the point that I built an RC one.

Fallout 4 DLC

Anyone had a chance to play the Fallout 4 DLC, Automatron yet?

If you have nothing major happening Easter and you're a fan of the original, might be worth putting on download or getting some gaming time over the extended bank holiday weekend.

Re: The Division

Agreed, dare I say it but Fallout mixed with COD. Added you on Uplay. Still prefer Steam but probably only because I've been using it longer and all my games are on it.

Re: GTA V & Controller

It's now somehow magically reverted back to running fine again, either Microsoft or Rockstar addresssed it.

Hopefully it's next year, so I've got a chance to save for a new card and motherboard in that time. That's the plan anyway. :?

Re: My rigs thread.... Feel free to post yours !

Rig three. This rig is my workstation, mostly for emulator coding, emulator design (graphical) and so on. It does game surprisingly well tbh. I built this one on the cheap, most of the hardware was donated. It's had an awful lot of work done. I titled it the TVR Sagaris, then themed it. It has genu...

Wow, never known anyone to take a build to this meticulous level, looking forward to seeing the finished product. Know what you mean about vinyl being time consuming, only advice I could offer is keep the knife blade sharp.

Re: GTA V & Controller

I've got an xbox one controller which I brought a wireless receiver for once Microsoft finally released it, which works fine with other games. In GTA V, even though it was fine letting me complete the story up to 60%+ it now seems to cause a problem with and without a wire. I've tried updating drive...

GTA V & Controller

Been mucking about with GTA V for the last few weeks after it became unplayable (stuttering and laggy), the upshot is I have found a work around. The controller has to be switched off when opening the game, turned on when in the game, and off again when exiting the game. Anything else including alt-...
