Upgrade time

I've had the same hardware for nearly 7 years now, and seems as I'm having very occasional power surges, figured now was the best time to upgrade, as I would still have a PC while building a new one. The only parts that will be carried over will be the GPU (seems as I've only had it about 6 months) ...

Reduced size or sound?

I've had ATX boards and cases with an increasing number of fans as long as I can remember, so much so that the noise is getting pretty ridiculous. So I thought, why not get a mATX board, case, and liquid cool the CPU to reduce it a little bit, and avoid having a full tower. After doing some searchin...

New RAM?

Currently got 4 x 4 Gb Hyperx Blu sticks (DDR3) in, is it worth the upgrade to 32Gb? Or wait till I get a new motherboard and invest in some DDR4?

Is a SATA SSD worthy of an upgrade to a PCI-E SSD coz they're still pretty expensive at the moment?

Re: Mid Life Crisis

Yeah I'm gonna say the Z1000R as well, looks more sleeper-esqe, whereas the orange one will probably get more (unwanted) attention, might save a few quid on buying and insuring it looking at the brakes and the fairing.

Reminds me of Max Payne (when you went into bullet time) mixed with a puzzle game, anyone got any suggestions for full on rambo action?

Best FPS At The Moment

I'm looking at getting a new FPS for Kinguin (military rather than fantasy), but do not know which is best to buy, I've been weighing up for sometime now and obviously Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1 are in the frame (as they are the most recent titles), but having not brought one for a while, do...

Re: Battlefield 1 multiplayer gameplay

Got BF4 (as is was only a £5) to train up multiplayer before this gets released. Boy was that a mistake, people are proper experts, frustrating as f***.

I'm assuming this has a single player campaign as well?

Ok, cheers. Didn't realise the feet were that substantial so wanted to make sure there was enough through flow.

Much appreciated!

New Water Cooling System

As I've put my components in a new case (Thermaltake) only to find out the power switch doesn't work, and waiting for over a month for a replacement, I've finally lost my patience and am moving to become a Corsair customer. As I am trying to reduce noise, could anyone suggest a CPU Water Cooler to g...

Extreme Cooling

Been reading about extreme cooling (using nitrogen and helium etc.) after getting an engineering degree, I understand all the principals, but don't understand what sort of hardware is needed if you're making the move (from water to extreme). I'm guessing blocks, fittings and pipes are all the same. ...

Desktop Login

Never seen this problem before, but when I attempt to log in using my desktop I get the error:

''No route found for "GET /ucp.php"'

It has only just been happening this week, and is fine on my laptop and iphone. Anyone know a solution?

They've re-done Wolfenstein and Doom, it's probably just a matter of time, how much time though is another question!

I would guess celebrity endorsement somehow, people are a sucker nowadays for following and emulating famous people.

Anyone else got the problem with FPS software? It was fine a couple of weeks ago, but a couple of days ago it stopped starting with Windows. Even though all my antivirus, GFX software, Steam and stuff lauches fine, it still won't turn on with Windows, despite it being 'enabled' in the list in 'task ...
