USB 3.0 to USB 3.1

Hi, I have a corsair 750D case with USB 3.0 built into front, I am looking to upgrade very soon to the Asus rog maximus x hero but the new Z370 board has a USB 3.1 header, so is it possible to plug the 3.0 from the Corsair into the 3.1 on the new motherboard or are the plugs different / wired differ...

Re: Oculus Rift

The Oculus Rift is now only £399 from all good retailers..https://www.oculus.com/ A bargain at that price, I just couldn't imagine not having VR, some stunning games and experiences to be had and quite a few of those are free, just check some of em out. Lucky's Tale, fantastic VR platformer Echo Ar...

AMD Threadripper possible cooling problem?

Can Threadripper temps be kept under control with existing AIO coolers? Appears the cold plate doesn't cover the whole dye area, I'm sure it would be functional and may not even be a problem but if I was buying Threadripper I'd be waiting for newer coolers specific for Threadripper, be interesting t...

Re: Corsiar SP2500 modual kaput

There was an issue with generation that was adjusted and a few units moved beyond QC. Simply ask for a RAM and put the unit goes clear or green in the depiction and we will supplant it." This was a reaction some person got in the Corsair client discussion who had the extremely same issue as me...

Re: Upgrade time

I'd say save a bit, ditch the SSD as you already have a couple, sell your 970 and go for a second 980ti or 1080 if you can stretch to it, would be sweet, don't skimp on the mobo though it's a very important part of the build.

Re: 1080 TI coming this january

Finally got the Zotac 1080 Ti Amp Extreme and what a beauty it is, boosts to 2000Mhz out the box and stays there, no dropping down after heavy use so I'll not bother overclocking it. The RGB lighting software that came with it on disk doesn't work so a quick download of the latest version soon got i...

Re: Windows 10 creators or GPU problem?

I don't have another GPU to try, my 980ti works perfectly once I get into windows so I'll just have to stick with it for the time being and hope a windows update will resolve the problem, my nephew is also having boot issues too so I'm guessing it's the update that's broken things, I'll have a new G...

Windows 10 creators or GPU problem?

Hey guys, after updating to windows 10 creators I have been getting boot to vertical colour lines then goes to black screen, I have to do a reset then it all works fine, I'm guessing, hoping it's the creators update that's causing the problem as it all started after the update but am concerned just ...

Re: 1080 TI coming this january

Well, held off from upgrading my 980ti to 1080 but the 1080ti has has made my mouth water. I'll be going for a custom card come June but can't make my mind up out of the Zotac amp extreme or the EVGA FTW3, I know it's over £650 which would have been my limit but as I will not be looking to upgrade a...
